When children are honored through loving, respectful, and nurturing relationships, they are empowered to explore their abilities as friends, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers. This, in turn, helps them become compassionate, kind-hearted members of society.
At Little Bear, we believe that relationships form the bedrock of our organization. We are of the opinion that the excellence of the care we offer is gauged by the quality of the relationships we establish with the children, families, and our environment. Our pledge is to foster relationships that are warm, respectful, and compassionate.
We care about the health of our families and understand that optimal well being includes not only the balance of work and family life but also ensuring that mental, physical, emotional, environmental and spiritual health are maintained.
Our team values open, cooperative, and collaborative discussions. We prioritize timely exchange of information and feedback, and anticipate the same level of commitment from our partners, families, and Leaders.
At the heart of our mission lies the belief that children are the building blocks of our future. As a result, we place tremendous emphasis on ensuring that each and every child in our care is provided with the tools they need to succeed. By catering to their emotional, physiological, and social needs, we create an inclusive community that fosters growth and development. Our unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch childcare is reflected in our ability to provide safe, high-quality, and culturally relevant services to the families we serve.
Culture and community are closely interconnected, serving as fundamental pillars in shaping children's self-identity and sense of belonging. Our aim is to foster community bonds through our craft deliveries to the neighborhoods we serve.
We are deeply committed to providing our children with the optimal chance for success. Early intervention screenings are instrumental in assisting children across various domains, addressing issues ranging from separation anxiety to speech delays. We have partnered with Spectrum Pediatric Services in Saskatoon for SLP Support.
We anticipate numerous safety requirements for each center, encompassing background checks, tap entry systems, and continual risk management evaluations.
Teaching compassion helps children understand others, recognize the impact of their actions, and respect different emotions. By nurturing empathy early, we support the development of kindness, patience, acceptance, and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships.
We are a Indigenous led child care center. Your child does not have to be Metis or Indigenous to attend our center. We strongly encourage children to explore their cultural identity and aim to strengthen family and community ties. You will see visuals through the center that teach children words in English, French and Cree or Michif, additionally, our Leaders have committed to on-going language classes. There will regularly be requests for family aid/participation within the centers. This is voluntary, however greatly encouraged as it strengthens all children's ties to their community, building a sense of self.

Yes, it is one of our core values. If your child has diverse needs please speak to us directly about how we can help support your family.
We understand how hard it is to be away from your child, especially the first time. We encourage parents to set up gradual entry prior to your child starting. We want to ensure parents feel secure before leaving their child with us and it also gives the child time to get comfortable in the new environment. Time of gradual entry depends on each individual child. Let us work with you to set your child up for success.
